Dia&Co Box #2

Hi lovely people!

I am back with a review of my second box from Dia&Co. For those who don't know, Dia&Co is a subscription service where a stylist picks 5 items according to your style. You choose which items to keep and send the rest back. For more details please visit here:

Dia&Co

----------------------------------------------

First item up is the Hayden LA / Diana Lace Tunic in pink (size XL) for $35.00.

I am a little unsure about this top. The first time I tried it on I wasn't a fan but I waited a few days and tried it again and I'm becoming a fan. The only downside is that its hard to keep the elastic on my arm, it keeps wanting to snap back up. I also don't have a bra or undershirt I could wear with this to make it look right. The lace details around the hem is adorable and I really like the V-shape in the back. I love the color and color alone it fits right in with my wardrobe but I'm still undecided. What do you guys think?

-------------------------------------------

Next up is the Eunishop / Meadow Top in grey (size 1X) for $42.00.

I was excited to try this top on but after trying it I'm unsure. I really am not a fan of front pockets on my body type and I feel that's the only thing setting me off of this piece. The front fabric is a chiffon feel but a bit thicker, and the back is knit. The sizing is pretty accurate on it, fits a little large but I think it helps going large with these styles anyway. The fabric felt amazing and I love the back detail but I don't see myself grabbing this out of my closet to wear. Would love to hear your opinions!

------------------------------------------

Last I have two pieces. The 5th piece in my box were some jeggings that unfortunately did not fit me at all so I won't be covering them.

Linen Pebble Scarf in Light Blue for $38.00

Swak / Knit Maxi Skirt in teal (size 1X) for $49.90

I like the pattern of the scarf a ton, and my stylist told me she picked it just for me based off my pinterest board but it's so itchy! Which, I get it, linen is itchy. I am just a soft fabric person. I am still undecided on the scarf. I love the look of thickness it gives but I don't know if I would wear it often due to the feel of the fabric.

The skirt is very soft and flowy. The pictures make it out to be more blue but its more on the teal/green side. One of my favorite colors and for once a full length skirt! Most of the maxi skirts I've tried in the past still don't cover my long legs. I think I'll be keeping this for sure I just need to research the best things to pair with maxi skirts since I've never had one that actually fit properly.

Pusheen Box #1 Summer Box!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm covering my Pusheen subscription box and all the adorable things I got in it!

I decided to start this subscription service after seeing my friend receive this super cute Pusheen planter. I was certainly not disappointed! The Pusheen box subscription goes by season, so they'll have four boxes a year. You can cancel pretty much at any time. Boxes are generally priced around 50$ but can be discounted if you subscribe for longer. Most the items will be exclusive to the Pusheen box of that season and you'll get a cute variety of items.

First off, the box itself is utterly adorable.

Look at those little feet!!

The box was a decent size and I just want to keep the box itself too it's so cute.
Looking inside this box is like Christmas in July. I couldn't wait to check everything out!

Now that we have seen everything briefly, we'll take a deeper look at all the exciting things.

First up was the vinyl figure.

I really love Mermaid Pusheen so to get a vinyl on my first box was just super exciting to me. This is a decent sized vinyl figure about 5 inches long and 3 1/2 inches tall. Very solid feeling figure that is exclusive to this Pusheen box.

Next up are the flip flops!

These guys are really cute but I don't see myself wearing them outside the house. They don't feel like they can withstand much and I can't get the "M" logo off without damaging the print. I was sent a size M and they fit near perfect to my foot size which is a size 10. These may be the one item I dislike in this box, but they're still cute.

Following is one of my favorite items....

Reusable cup with Mermaid Pusheen! I was actually contemplating buying one of these Pusheen cups but decided to wait to see what was in my box. What a good decision! I got one AND it has my favorite Pusheen on it!

The sunglasses are pretty cute and feel pretty good quality for those types of sunglasses. The Pusheen print on them is super cute. I'll most likely keep them in my car for those days I forgot my normal sunglasses.

Following after this are some more cute items!

Above we have a Pusheen iron on patch, a Pusheen compressed beach towel, and a Pusheen beach ball!

The Pusheen beach ball, although I don't have a picture, ends up being about 10x10 inches. It is certainly adorable and has little feet and ears that fill with air as well. I'd love to take this out to a pool or a beach and have some fun!

The beach towel after being washed is about the size of a normal beach towel and surprisingly thick for how small it appeared in compressed form. The print on it is very cute as well. I apologize I don't have a picture of the towel expanded and washed.

The patch is well, a patch of Pusheen with sunglasses as you can see. Very cute indeed! I usually end up never using patches though because I can never find anything permanent enough in my wardrobe or bags to keep them on.

Last we have the travel bag and ice tray!

The travel bag is about 20" by 14" and made from a typical canvas you'd see on nicer canvas tote bags. I think it'll be very cute to carry around and is done in a duffle bag style.

The ice cube trays are pretty straightforward, and I'm excited to use them! The best part about these silicone ice cube trays is that they can be used for much more than ice. Food wise you can use it for ice, jello, gummy candy, chocolate, or popsicle molds. For other purposes you can use it for resin casting. Do not mix the two though, once you use resin you can't put food products back in it for your own safety.

That's it for the summer Pusheen subscription box! Are you going to order your own for the fall season? Let me know in the comments below!

And last but not least, I'll leave you with another daily outfit! (See I told you I don't get to dress up much.)

Daily outfit 7/13

Hey there!

I'm going to start posting outfits I like. These won't be everyday since I work from home for the most part and don't always spend the effort dressing up.

Today's outfit is one of my favorites, pairing colorful skinny pants with this cute top I found from Ross. Today's pants are the ones I just got from Dia&Co!

Something about this combination makes me feel confident in what I'm wearing. I think these shoes help too.

Pants - $65 (Dia&Co)
Shirt - $12 (Ross)
Shoes - $15 (Ross)
Choker - $16 (Target)

Click here to get your own Dia&Co subscription box!

Today I also got my moonstick prop in the mail from Kannon Kosplay! I'll be using this for my Princess Serenity costume from Sailor Moon!

All in all a great day!

Thanks for reading!

Pokemon Go Trainers Must-Have List

Like most of you Pokémon Masters out there, I have been playing Pokémon Go since launch as well, on a daily 3-6 mile walk basis. I'm sure everyone has come to the conclusion that battery life is a joke. Well I'm here to give you some must haves for your Pokémon journey~

First up is an external battery. This one so happens to be a bit stylish for whichever team you're on (Although Instinct and Mystic will have to share one. We can share right?)

Check it out here!

If you want to be a self sufficient Pokémon Master you also have the option to generate your own energy while you're out and about! Introducing the Solar Charger Backpack! WHOA

It also has water because we all need to stay hydrated!

Check this out here!

Next up is what I find to be extra important, a way to secure your phone while you walk. A way to protect it from not only thieves, but our own hands dropping it as well.

This convenient neck strap can also be looped into your belt or wrapped around your wrist. It allows you to rotate your phone so holding it upside down for Battery Saver mode is definitely a feature. I find this to be much more convenient then placing in my pocket especially with a large phone like the iPhone 6s Plus which barely goes in my pocket anyway.

Check this out here!

Last but not least, a water bottle! Here's some Team Pride water bottles!

Check these out here!

Here's some if you like to add fruit!

Check these out here!

Thanks for tuning in and as always, be safe on your adventures!

Dia&Co First Box

Dia&Co is a subscription service for plus size women. These subscription services will typically send five items personally picked for you and your likes. They will usually have an upfront fee (20$ in this case) to send the shipment, but that cost can be applied to your order if you choose to keep any items. They will send a prepaid mailer to return any unwanted items. You have a couple of days to try on clothing and decide if its for keeps or not, and to send the rest back. If you keep all items you will receive a discount (in this case 20%) Your stylist will usually write a letter to you about some of the things they picked, and they will typically ask for links to your pinterest and other social media to see what things you like. You will also fill out a style profile before ordering. Feedback is crucial with these services so that your stylist can narrow in on what you like and what fits your body type.

Stitch Fix is another service I've used but they don't carry plus size pants so I've only been able to get dresses and tops from them. They work very similar to Dia&Co and I suggest trying the both of them.

Without further adieu let's take a look at the first shipment I received from Dia&Co!

First is the Zenobia/Reese Blouse in white (size 1x) $35.00

I wasn't hip about the pattern or the way it fit. This was oddly tight along the hem but too loose in the waist and again too tight in the bust. Usually button up shirts are disasters for women with large breasts anyway.

It's alright though, this is all about experimentation and I was happy to try it on and discover!

In all the pictures you will see the
Celebrity Pink/Marley Skinny Jean in turquoise (size 16) $65.00.
I absolutely love these pants, they fit very well and aren't sliding down on me, which is a constant problem I have with pants but I unfortunately can't wear belts. This was one of the main reasons I tried Dia&Co, for bottoms that fit since Stitch Fix doesn't offer my size. I was blown out of the water on the first try with these amazing pants, and in one of my favorite colors too! To say the least, they're keepers.

Next is the Fashion to Figure/ Alicia Blazer in black (size 1) $36.90

I wore this over the top from above and I've been searching for a good blazer. Unfortunately this was not the one. It was a bit big and I didn't find it too flattering to my shape. The shortness of it was not my style. Which blazers aren't usually super long but if this just had like an inch more it would've been fine. I liked the style of the sleeves though.

I am sending this blazer back too.

Following the blazer is Fashion to Figure/Cassidy Tunic in blue (size 1x) $36.90

I liked the way this tunic fit, and it was very comfortable but my husband and I both agree jean shirts are not my jam and don't belong in my closet. He joked that just because I started watching the 90's show Sailor Moon doesn't mean I should start wearing jean shirts from the 90's. If this shirt had been any texture/color other then jean.....

Don't get me wrong, some people can ROCK the jean look and I know it's coming back in style. It's just not for me.

My last piece was a necklace Anneke Necklace in Gold $27.00

I liked this necklace quite a bit but I have a very similar piece already in my collection. My husband and I both agreed I didn't need a second.
To my stylist: Please continue sending cool stuff like that though!

In the end I decided to only keep the pants, but that's not a bad thing! I feel these types of services are really to help you discover things you may never have tried. I am excited for my next box and hope you guys will give it a try too!
